Schroth Profi II-FE ASM Saloon Harness in Black
The Schroth Profi II-FE ASM Harness is a lightweight 4 point professional saloon harness featuring Schroth's ASM(Anti Sub-Marining) technology and uses the RFR (FE) push button buckle making it both FIA Approved and ECE/FMVSS Approved for road use.
Features 3 inch (76mm) wide shoulder straps with Wrap/Snap Hook fixings (meaning the harness can be easily changed from Snap-Hook fixing to wrap around fixing with minimal fuss) and lightweight aluminium adjusters. The 2 inch (51mm) lap straps have Snap Hook fixings.
ASM Explained - The Schroth asm® system offers an unique safety advantage for 4-point harnesses. asm® is the acronym for anti-submarining. The risk to submarine (sliding underneath the lap belt), a well known phenomenon during frontal impacts, is significantly reduced by the asm® safety system. The energy converter is located in the inboard shoulder belt. Therefore makesure you purchase left and/or right harnesses.
Severe injuries or death are possible using 4-point harnesses without the Schroth asm® safety system or an anti-sub strap. Schroth harnesses designed for use on public roads (FE push button models) or those likely to be used as 4-points come with the asm® safety system. The performance of the Schroth asm® safety system has also been positively tested in conjunction with airbags. Current Head And Neck Supports (HANS®) provide further reduction of head deceleration and neck injury.
FIA Approved for competition use and HANS compatible. ECE/FMVSS Approved for road use.
The RFR FE Release buckle has the facility to take a crutch strap connection, so the harness can be easily be turned in to a six point version.
