Cartek PDM4 and 5 Instructions
Cartek's latest generation of power distribution module has been designed to replace fuses and relays, thus simplifying a vehicle wiring. This mini Power Distribution Module (PDM) can be used as both expansion units for larger PDM's, or used separately. It can also be configured to become a dedicated Headlight or Spotlight controller.
Other features of the Cartek 5 Channel PDM include:-
Small, lightweight yet robust design - weighing in at just 110grms.
Fully potted for protection against water and dirt ingress, shock and vibration.
All connections are sealed via 12 pin Deutsch DT connector.
The maximum output current can be set in 5A steps (20A max.) per channel. Selectable 'Soft Start' option for driving devices with large inrush such as fans or water pumps. Outputs can be combined for higher current.
Tripped outputs can be reset by either pressing the button on the PDM or by performing a power cycle.
Outputs have selectable functions including flashing (for indicators), Time delay On (heated screens), Time delay Off (to power a fan when car is switched off).
PDM has a configurable 'Aux' input pin which can act as an ignition input e.g. signal from Battery Isolator, master switch or ignition switch.
RGB status LED's on the PDM indicate status of inputs and outputs.
All programming is through integrated pushbutton on PDM – no laptop required.
Kit contains 1x PDM, 1x mating connector housing and 12x crimps.
